Habtoor Polo and Dubai Wolves by CAFU Leave Their Mark on Day Three of the 2024 Silver Cup

The 14th edition of the Silver Cup tournament will see four teams compete on the grounds of Al Habtoor Polo Club until the 3rd of February 2024.

The opening match saw a thrilling showdown between the Bangash Polo and Dubai Wolves by CAFU teams. From the outset, it was evident that the game would be fiercely competitive. Santiago Laborde of Dubai Wolves by CAFU made the initial score, swiftly followed by his teammate Benjamin Panelo, giving their team an impressive start. Despite this, the Bangash Polo team's cohesive teamwork ensured a close contest, with both sides fiercely battling for points throughout the match. Ultimately, Dubai Wolves by CAFU emerged victorious, although their hard-earned win came with just a slim half-score advantage as the match concluded.

The next match kicked off between Habtoor Polo and UAE Polo, with Tommy Beresford securing the first goal for UAE Polo. Right from the start, the game was characterized by intense defense from both sides. Benjamin Panelo stepped in for Bautista Bayugar in the Habtoor Polo team due to an injury, and his partnership with Juan Jauretche proved pivotal in maintaining Habtoor Polo's scoring momentum. Jose Araya also made significant contributions to the team's performance. Despite the formidable defensive skills and scoring efforts of Federico von Potobsky and Lucas Monteverde for UAE Polo, the match remained tightly contested throughout. In the end, Habtoor Polo emerged victorious in a hard-fought battle.
